Introduction

Dear Reader,

Hello.  Apparently I just decided to start a blog.  It isn't exactly a new idea, I have thought about it a few times in the past, but never actually decided to do it.  Yesterday I came across this blog written by a friend, and I guess that it inspired me to actually try something similar.  (Thanks Joey)

My idea is this: simply to share something from the Lord whenever possible.  No particular guidelines, it might be a verse from the Bible, something that strikes me from a sermon I hear or a book that I read, a prayer, a hymn or a song, or something that happens in my life.  In short, anything that I feel has a spiritual application to my life.  Hopefully God is able to use some of it to speak to some of you at some point.  I'm not planning any particular schedule for when or how to post, just whenever I feel like I have something to share.  Hopefully I actually end up posting semi regularly, (once a week would be great) but I am not making any promises.

The name of the blog comes from John 3:17,

     "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, 

       but that the world might be saved through him." (NASB)

I came across this verse in my reading today, and I will talk about it more in my first post.  The general idea is that God could have judged us, but chose to save us instead.
